Ministry Groups (most meet once a month)

All-Church Events (ACE) (3rd Sunday, 8:15 am)

Sponsors and implements special church activities for all age groups, including the annual Church Picnic, Fall Festival,  Golf Outing, Blood Drives, Weekly Coffee Fellowship Hour, Annual Congregational Potluck, etc.  More Info

Childrens’ Ministry (1st Sunday, 11:00 am)

Develops and implements Sunday school curriculums and coordinates Sunday School teachers and students. More Info

Communications/Info/Tech Ministry (as needed)

Contributes to marketing, advertising, changes to the church’s computer network software and workstations and maintaining the church’s website. More Info

Adult Equipping Ministry (Thursday, as needed)

Develops the spiritual growth of the adult congregation. Coordinates annual Leadership Conference and CORE Celebration to support and encourage growth of small groups and group coordinators, and assists in developing new leaders.  More Info

Finance & Stewardship Ministry (2nd Tuesday, 7:00 pm)

Oversees financial matters of the church, including the stewardship campaign, recommendation of annual operating budgets to Session, and cash flow management. Also helps various ministries develop self-funding strategies for special church programs.  More Info

Human Resources Ministry (4th Tuesday, 7:00 pm)

Provides human resource related support for our church staff. Oversees the recruiting and hiring of staff members, and recommends salary and compensation reviews to Session. Also responsible for coordinating Pastor Appreciation activities and other staff recognition programs.  More Info

Membership & Outreach Ministry (1st Tuesday, 7:00 pm)

Coordinates outreach activities and programs for the un-churched in our community. Welcomes visitors each Sunday, ensures visitor follow-up, coordinates community communications, maintains dialog with the Preschool and manages all other outreach and evangelical work, such as the annual Christmas Parade, Christmas Market. Also coordinates and facilitates new members’ classes and luncheons.  More Info

Missions Ministry (1st Tuesday, 7:00 pm)

Furthers our goal of “impacting our community and the world for Jesus Christ” by providing opportunities for our members of all ages to be actively involved in local, regional and international mission programs. Especially focused on developing opportunities for hands-on mission work. Manages relationships with our mission partner organizations, coordinates mission trips for all ages, and manages donations of mission dollars to various organizations.  More Info

Property Ministry (1st Tuesday, 7:00 pm)

Maintains and manages the church facilities and property, including management of related personnel. Recommends property enhancement and maintenance projects to Session and works with the Foundation on campus enhancement projects.  More Info

Worship Ministry (1st Thursday, 5:30 pm)

Oversees worship service activities, including the music ministry, greeters and ushers, worship procedures, sound and light system operation, and coordination of communion services. Coordinates special worship services of the church including weddings, memorial services and holidays, including decorating of the sanctuary.  More Info

Youth Ministry (as needed)

Develops the spiritual growth of the youth in the congregation from 6th grade through college. Participate in planning youth activities and mission trips.  More Info

 

Other Volunteer Opportunities:

BLAST: Works with Children’s Ministry team to support weekly devotional activities. Opportunities range from coordination of game time to helping serve pizza. It’s a   wonderful way to help our children grow in their knowledge of God’s Word.  More Info

Church Opener/Closer: Openers open up the church, unlock the doors, turn on the lights, etc. on Sunday mornings and closers make sure everything is turned off and locked up.  More Info

Coffee Fellowship: Hosts coffee and bagel time between weekly Sunday morning worship services. With the support of the ACE committee, serves coffee and snacks to church attendees in order to promote fellowship and building of relationships between church members.   (One or two families needed to host each week’s fellowship event.)  More Info

Decorating the Sanctuary: Assist in decorating for Thanksgiving and Christmas.  More Info

Friendly Visitors: Works with the Deacons to provide one-on-one ministry to members of our congregation who are shut-in or unable to attend church services on a regular basis.  Focuses on both physical and spiritual support. More Info

Greeters: Welcomes attendees to weekly worship services. Excellent way for new members to get to know other church members and visitors as well. More Info

Music: Leads the music ministry through choirs, singing groups, and instrumental accompaniment during our contemporary and traditional worship services. More Info

Office and Administrative: Provides church office staff with assistance answering the phone, completing mailings, assembling bulletins and newsletters, and other light clerical work as needed.  More Info

Sunday School: Leads children’s Sunday School classes each week, following the curriculum provided by the Children’s Ministry team. Participates in a team-teaching approach, where 2-person teams lead a given class for 4 weeks before rotating out for the next 4 weeks.  More Info

Ushering: Distributes bulletins to attendees at weekly worship services, provides headcount of those in attendance, and collects offerings. Good opportunity for all ages, from teens to seniors to participate in our weekly worship time. Usher coordinators ensure volunteers are scheduled for each Sunday.  More Info
